4 facts for the day that comes after every 4 years

  1. Two women have given birth to three leap day babies, according to the New York Daily News. The Henriksen family from Norway had their children on leap days in 1960, 1964 and 1968. The most recent family to tie the record is the Estes family from Utah. Their children were born in 2004, 2008 and 2012.
  2. Julius Caesear introduced the idea when he ordered his astronomer, Sosigenes, to simplify the calendar. Sosigenes opted for the 365-day year with an extra day every four years to scoop up the extra hours. But he created too many leap years. Every 400 years, there are an three extra days, so to compensate, centuries must be divisible by 400 to count as leap years. Years like 1700, 1800 and 1900 are only 365 days long, rather than 366.
  3.  Leap years in history: During leap years, George Armstrong Custer fought the Battle of the Little Bighorn (1876), the Titanic sank (1912), Benjamin Franklin proved that lightning is electricity (1752) and and gold was discovered in California (1848).
  4.  The tradition of women proposing on leap day is thought to date back to 5th-century Ireland when St Bridget complained to St Patrick that women had to wait too long for suitors to propose. He then gave women a single day in a leap year to pop the question – the last day of the shortest month. Legend has it that Brigid then dropped to a knee and proposed to Patrick that instant, but he refused, kissing her on the cheek and offering a silk gown to soften the blow.

Leap year

A leap year (also known as an intercalary year or a bissextile year) is a year containing one additional day (or, in the case of lunisolar calendars, a month) added to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical or seasonal year. Because seasons and astronomical events do not repeat in a whole number of days, calendars that have the same number of days in each year drift over time with respect to the event that the year is supposed to track. By inserting (also called intercalating) an additional day or month into the year, the drift can be corrected. A year that is not a leap year is called a common year.
For example, in the Gregorian calendar, each leap year has 366 days instead of the usual 365, by extending February to 29 days rather than the common 28. Similarly, in the lunisolar Hebrew calendar, Adar Aleph, a 13th lunar month, is added seven times every 19 years to the twelve lunar months in its common years to keep its calendar year from drifting through the seasons.

All the other months in the Julian calendar have 30 or 31 days, but February lost out to the ego of Roman Emperor Caesar Augustus.
Under his predecessor Julius Caesar, February had 30 days and the month named after him - July - had 31. August had only 29 days.
When Caesar Augustus became Emperor he added two days to 'his' month to make August the same as July.
So February lost out to August in the battle of the extra days.

The Roman calendar did have 355 days with an extra 22-day month every two years, until Julius Caesar became emperor and ordered his astronomer Sosigenes to devise a better system in the 1st Century.
Sosigenes decided on a 365-day year with an extra day every four years to incorportate the extra hours, and so February 29th was born.
As an earth year is not exactly 365.25 days long Pope Gregory XIII's astronomers decided to lose three days every 400 years when they introduced the Gregorian calendar in 1582. The maths has worked ever since but the system will need to be rethought in about 10,000 years' time.

Workers have realised that every leap year, they have to work one extra day for no extra pay.
If a person earns the national average salary of £26,500 a year, that works out at £2,208.33 per monthly payslip – which breaks down to £71.24 per day in a 31-day month but a daily wage of £78.87 in February.
This realisation prompted Karl Savage, who was a high school teacher from Maryland, to try and kick-start the “No Work on Leap Day Revolution” in 2008, when the extra day fell on a Friday.

Chapter 3

Lying motionless on the bed while the dim moonlight falls on her face a face which is full of guilt a guilt which she can't share to her writer but if she doesn't she just might die with it die with all the secrets  hidden under her chest .. as she starts to fall asleep her phone rang, scrabbling on her hand under the pillow she picks it up without checking the caller i.d from the other side there came a voice very familiar and very loud saying "she said yes!.. she said yes! Janet come on say something i am the happiest man on earth today! hello!! Janet are you there??  " while he said all those words all Janet could manage to say was " great congratulation Jake "  with tears falling from her eyes like a waterfall ,then Jake counted to tell her how he proposed Mandy and what she said but all the Janet could think was that she will die without ever telling him how she felt for him it was too late all those years she spend with Jake wasted as she could not ever tell him about the heart ache she had been feeling for so many years....
It was 8 a.m now Janet was drinking her morning coffee standing in her balcony  watching the sea waves falling in and out of the shore few joggers were passing by as well and the sun was shiny brightly up in the sky it was the moment  of piece for her as for tonight she had to go her best friend's  engagement  party to watch Jake be with some one  some one she knew she could never be.. Just when she was bubbling with thoughts there was a knock on the door Janet knew who that would be , so she opened it without even asking ,  was Alex as she opened the door Alex was yawning with a mouth wide open and froze as she saw Janet,   Alex then started to smile and scratching her head she say " Good Morning Ms Janet, May i come on in?" Janet looking with her puffy red eyes giving the expression  of sorrow went inside letting her pass .
Sitting down facing towards the balcony she says " sit down Alex , today i am not feeling so well so lets just keep it small about like an hour or so ? and by the way there some coffee int he kitchen if you want some"
Alex sitting the on the one man sofa and taking her laptop out of her backpack says, " No, thanks I'm good , so let's get started .. so we were at the part where Jake was going..?"
Janet yes we were..
" It was early December of 1996 when he was leaving he wasn't even gonna be there for Christmas , who will i spend my Christmas night ? who will i sing the Christmas choral with ? the night he left was cold as it was but with out him being around it felt much more cold hours i just sat at his empty door step, it as the time was passing every day i realized how much i actually loved him how he meant to me and how much time i had wasted thinking about Owen while my heart was always with Jake but it was too late ...
Days passed but i couldn't reach him i wrote him letters and letters but no reply ever came maybe i was sending to the wrong address or maybe after moving into the city he had forgotten about me...
It was 1997 June when all the senior were going to victor's parents pent house  in the city for a party. Victor was Janice boyfriend.. When Janice asked  our parents for the permission to go  they denied they said that she can' go alone boys these days are very bad they could get you pregnant and then just leave you in the dumpster ! after arguing  for days my parents agreed one term that i would go with Janice as well Janice agreed and for the first time she was nice to me and gave me a few new dresses of her to wear at the party it was gonna last a whole week end i was very happy that at last my sister remembers me .
Now that we were there  we checked in a motel in which i was to live alone while she stayed with her boy friend , later that day we arrived at the party she told me to get away some where but i told her that i didn't knew any one then she suggested that i go see Jake But i told her i don't know the city and i don't know Jake's address  on which Janice said i should go to the room upstairs and wait until she calls a cab so i could go back to the motel and rot there .. So I went upstairs and got in the first room open after a while Janice came in with her boy friend Victor  they both came in laughing but I could see that Victor was drunk while Janice was not coming in he points towards me and asks Janice that's your sister whose been a bad girl to you Janice nods  saying yes and then turns around and lock the door by now i knew something was wrong staying strong i asked why are you locking the door Janice whats going on? she didn't say anything  but smiled as victor close to me i told him to get away  but he wouldn't i said i would scream  but i knew with the music so loud no one could hear me he came close pushed me against the wall and slapped me hard threw me to the bed i started crying begging him to leave me alone but he kept on coming close as close as he could get i tried to hit him but my sister tied my hand to the bed i tried to scream but was of no use he kept on saying "shhh.. it will all be over soon i know you want it so stop screaming baby "  but he didn't stopped  i went unconscious, even when i woke up i was tied to bed ..
the whole week end he came and did whatever he wanted to and left that week end was the end for me....."
wiping her tears with pain filled eyes she says, "So, Alex i think that will be enough for today huh ?"

Leftover Steak

Today's recipe is related to left over steak , hey we all get left over steaks once in a while don't we  whether we have a party at home or just dinner our kids leave it or we just leave it our self  either way it's left and when we try to eat it the other day it mostly gets dry and all so there how to make a whole new dish.

Recipe

Ingredients

  1. one bowl of boiled rice
  2.  4-5tbsp of sunflower oil or some other
  3. salt
  4. black pepper powder
  5. vegetables if you have any
  6. hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce
  7. left over steak
  8.  big green chillies

Chapter 2

Sleeping beneath the window as the dim light from the sun is sparkling over Janet, she then lies there dreaming with her eyes wide open   her pale white skin looked just as she has seen a ghost, she was thinking how will she tell her life story  or better yet what to tell and what not to tell the journalist .
her eyes looked weary like she doesn't sleep much , like something keeps her up at night.
finally the moment came when the journalist Alex came . Alex was a good girl with a lot of potential  to do amazing things which of course  reminded Janet of her younger self . Janet now just at the age of 35 thinks shes old enough to die.. but why? is it because of her illness of because of all the hardship and madness she's been through all her life?
She wanted Alex to have a wonderful career as one of the youngest  journalist who have been the voice of many Alex was only 19 years old and a student in  journalism at NYU . Alex asks " So Miss Janet how did you come so far in life? And why did you choose me to write about you,  I mean it's an honor to write your biography while no reporter in the world even gets two minutes of interview with you, but still m i lucky or is it because you and my mother are old friends?  "  with a grin on her face Janet replies " I thought you were a journalist not a detective.. " Alex now feeling a bit embarrassed  with little red cheeks says " I'm sorry ma'am i didn't meant to  sound like that but when you are a journalist you gotta have a little detective in you , you know"
so shall we start ?
"My name is Janet Davis, and I am from Accord which is a hamlet in Ulster County, I went to Rondout Valley Central School District  I  was born there, i had a older sister  to whom i was nothing but a toy that she used to play with expect it was alive and a set of  quarreling parents to whom i was i mistake they had made but well, it is life you can't undo it.. we were not poor nor we were rich , we just was some where in between. Growing up i knew that money is the only think that mattered to my parents and fame was the only thing that mattered to my sister and to me the only thing that mattered was being with Owen Jackson, he was the high school heart throb and lived 5 blocks away from me i liked him since kindergarten ... "
Alex interrupting , "Wait wait wait whats your date of birth? "
Janet with one eye brow lift says, "excuse me?"
Alex: "Oh! i don't mean no disrespect or anything but you know for the biography.."
Janet: "yes i know i was born on the 2nd of March."
Alex: " Wow! that's cool i was born on 2 March as well"
Janet:"Well life is full of mysteries ain't it?"
Alex:"Yeah, so where were we?"
Janet: " i was telling you about my history... So Owen was the guy who i never had the guts to go and talk to , but no worries i might not have much friend but i had my best friend Jake Wilson  with me for me that was quite enough Jake was my neighbor  so we have always been together before  kindergarten in  kindergarten to high school with him around i knew nothing wrong could happen to me..  sigh... growing up i had to wore my sister"s old and used clothes as my parents thought buying me clothes was pretty much a waste of money they always said" get out of the house and go earn money you weren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth!" while on the other hand my elder sister Janice got everything she asked for.. weird isn't it but at that time it was OK to me .. when i started high school i also started working night shift in the dinner close by the tip money was all that i would save the rest I'd give it to my parents which they either spend on Janice or their own
addictions .. everything was fine when until one day Jake dad got a job in the city and they had to move their, we were in the junior year and i thought that we were gonna graduate together and go to the city together and work and have fun and all but he was leaving i loved him so much if only he would have stayed... but what i didn't knew then was that what was about to happen something that would tore me apart from life itself...."
Janet: " I think that's enough for today  you should go home now"

Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty.

stalker

If you search the word "stalker" on the web you will see a list of different things ranging from movies, t.v series, games , celebrity stalker , the meaning of stalkers and so on.. But still you won't take it seriously  . most of you would just say " hey what a creep stalking a celeb " or "wow what a awesome movie!" or " dude that's an insane game" and so on.. But however won't think that somebody could stalk you as well. You are thinking now "hey I'm no celeb nor m I anyone famous" but it really doesn't have to do with being famous you know . who are stalkers you ask?
If you search on the web you might get some answers like these:
a person who stealthily hunts or pursues an animal or another person.
a person who harasses or persecutes someone with unwanted and obsessive attention
a person who harasses another person, as a former lover, a famous person, etc., in an aggressive, often threatening and illegal manner..
And if you ask to as why do people stalk you might get these answers:

Stalkers often emphasize that they “love” their victims and occasionally say they stalk to keep others safe. For example, an abusive ex-husband might say he stalks his ex-wife to ensure she's properly caring for their children. Psychologically, however, stalking is a crime of control.
I would prefer that you check out this website.
http://www.esia.net/Common_Traits_of_Stalkers.htm
aside from that there is a little more you should know ..
FACTS.
  1. Well the fact is that we all have a stalker within us just waiting for it to trigger.
  2. .So that makes everyone around us a stalker as well .
  3.  Third nowadays what popular is social media website you date online, you chat online, you upload all your details online make it easy for anyone to stalk you.
  4. Right now most likely  some one must  be stalking your profile on any social media it might be , so you got a stalker online so what? well it's not a big deal because some time around our life we do that too m i right?
  5. Remember people stalking you online could also find you hunt you and harm you.
  6. With app these days anyone can become your "follower" if you know what i mean.
  7. If you are a parent you must stalk your children, by viewing their online profile , or by searching their room etc, to protect them on just to keep an eye on them, whatever it may be you are still stalker. If not parent then you must be stalking a crush of yours or a celeb or just some one random .
With these facts establish  I think its about time you realize who your stalker is . Hey it takes one to know after all you know.
For all the people who lives alone lock your windows , lock your doors, lock all entrance. because remember a stalker could be anyone a friend a stalker or just the guy or girl who watches you go to your office, school etc or watches you come back or maybe both it's not necessary  for that person to follow you every where  though. Plus you don't really know which part of your action triggers their psychotic  side since you don't know who they are? or do you know who they are?
P.S Blocking some does not work they can just create a new profile and then just stalk you silently.

leeches = people

Today I'm gonna tell you a one or two things about leeches bloody blood sucking leeches.. Well for starters leeches are those kind of worms which stick tightly to your skin and suck the blood right out of you they are like tiny vampires. but that's not really my point what my point is that some people are like those bloody leeches they look harmless but once they get attach  they suck the blood right out of you and i know that .. because it's a universal truth which no one can deny . some people they just are hard to get rid of  because they won't let go because they like causing you pain and also like drinking your blood . plus they also tend to leave marks and boy are they ugly ones the pain goes way soon but the marks for some time you know as a reminder of how people really are, but eventually some day that's also gonna go away.. i know 90%  of people will agree with me on this.. but if you are one of the leeches then please just let go ....

New Software Of Drones that Could Track You Through the Woods

A team of Swiss researchers from the University of Zurich and the Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence have developed a machine learning program that quadcopters can use to identify and follow man-made trails through the forest. The research team hopes that this technology can be used in conjunction with search and rescue operations, but it's not hard to imagine law enforcement sending a swarm of drones after a kind fellow who happens to be on the lam.
Software to autonomously guide a quadcopter through a heavily wooded area is rather complex by necessity. A movement command that is received a moment too late or too soon can have your drone smashing into a tree. So the research team developed a deep neural network, or a set of artificial-intelligence algorithms that allows the software to analyze previous actions and consequences to make future decisions. A research paper outlining the researchers' program was published in the journal IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters.
"While drones flying at high altitudes are already being used commercially, drones cannot yet fly autonomously in complex environments, such as dense forests," said Davide Scaramuzza, a professor at the University of Zurich, in a press release. "In these environments, any little error may result in a crash, and robots need a powerful brain in order to make sense of the complex world around them."
More than 20,000 images of hiking trails were fed into the program to teach it to distinguish between the path of the trail and surrounding hazards. When the program was shown a new trail it hadn't seen before, it was able to pick the correct direction 85 percent of the time. Humans were given a similar test and only selected the correct path 82 percent of the time.
But there is still a major hurdle that needs to be cleared before a drone can be used to assist in a rescue operation (or hunt down fugitives). The AI program also needs to be programmed to recognize humans so it can stop, or fly up into the air and send out a light signal, or fire a net gun.
"One day robots will work side by side with human rescuers to make our lives safer," promises Luca Maria Gambardella, a director for the Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence.

The Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a loosely defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. According to the US Navy, the triangle does not exist, and the name is not recognized by the US Board on Geographic Names. Popular culture has attributed various disappearances to the paranormal or activity by extraterrestrial beings.Documented evidence indicates that a significant percentage of the incidents were spurious, inaccurately reported, or embellished by later authors In a 2013 study, the World Wide Fund for Nature identified the world’s 10 most dangerous waters for shipping, but the Bermuda Triangle was not among them

USS Cyclops

The incident resulting in the single largest loss of life in the history of the US Navy not related to combat occurred when the collier USS Cyclops, carrying a full load of manganese ore and with one engine out of action, went missing without a trace with a crew of 309 sometime after March 4, 1918, after departing the island of Barbados. Although there is no strong evidence for any single theory, many independent theories exist, some blaming storms, some capsizing, and some suggesting that wartime enemy activity was to blame for the loss. In addition, two of Cyclops's sister ships, Proteus and Nereus were subsequently lost in the North Atlantic during World War II. Both ships were transporting heavy loads of metallic ore similar to that which was loaded on Cyclops during her fatal voyage. In all three cases structural failure due to overloading with a much denser cargo than designed is considered the most likely cause of sinking

Why do ships and planes seem to go missing in the region? Some authors suggested it may be due to a strange magnetic anomaly that affects compass readings (in fact they claim Columbus noted this when he sailed through the area in 1492). Others theorize that methane eruptions from the ocean floor may suddenly be turning the sea into a froth that can't support a ship's weight so it sinks (though there is no evidence of this type of thing happening in the Triangle for the past 15,000 years). Several books have gone as far as conjecturing that the disappearances are due to an intelligent, technologically advanced race living in space or under the sea.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 (MH370/MAS370)

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 (MH370/MAS370) was a scheduled international passenger flight that disappeared on 8 March 2014, while flying from Kuala Lumpur International Airport near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing Capital International Airport in Beijing, China. The flight last made voice contact with air traffic control at 01:19 MYT, 8 March (17:19 UTC, 7 March) when it was over the South China Sea, less than an hour after takeoff. The aircraft disappeared from air traffic controllers' radar screens at 01:22 MYT. Malaysian military radar continued to track the aircraft as it deviated from its planned flight path and crossed the Malay Peninsula. It left the range of Malaysian military radar at 02:22 while over the Andaman Sea, 200 nautical miles (370 km) northwest of Penang in northwestern Malaysia. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-200ER, was carrying 12 Malaysian crew members and 227 passengers from 15 nations.
A multinational search effort began in the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea, where the flight's signal was lost on secondary surveillance radar, and was soon extended to the Strait of Malacca and Andaman Sea.[8][9][10] Analysis of satellite communications between the aircraft and Inmarsat's satellite communications network concluded that the flight continued until at least 08:19 and flew south into the southern Indian Ocean, although the precise location cannot be determined. Australia took charge of the search effort on 17 March, when the search shifted to the southern Indian Ocean. On 24 March 2014, the Malaysian government noted that the final location determined by the satellite communication is far from any possible landing sites, and concluded that "flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean." The current phase of the search is a comprehensive search of the seafloor about 1,800 kilometres (970 nmi) southwest of Perth, Western Australia, which began in October 2014.Despite the largest and most expensive search in aviation history, nothing was found of the aircraft until 29 July 2015, when a piece of marine debris, later confirmed to be a flaperon from Flight 370, was found on RĂ©union Island. The bulk of the aircraft has still not been located, prompting many theories about its disappearance.

Theories

Rob Brotherton, a lecturer in psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London, wrote that conspiracy theories emerge immediately after any catastrophe occurs and conclusive information about why they do so remains unavailable. Andrew Leonard wrote that conspiracy theorists were bolstered by the revelation of new satellite data two weeks after the flight disappeared that had been hidden from the public.
Other factors involve the lack of a distress signal from the plane According to Barbara Demick of the Los Angeles Times, critics of the Malaysian government's statements also found support in the Joint Agency Coordination Centre's announcement on 29 May 2014 that the plane was not in the search area authorities had been combing since April 2014.

Conspiracy-focused internet sites claim that the official statement that the plane crashed into the Indian Ocean makes no sense. They note that a Boeing 777 does not have the structural integrity to survive crashing into the ocean, and that it would be comparable to hitting a cement wall at terminal velocity. If Flight 370 hit the ocean, they say, it would have been broken into tens of thousands of pieces, many of which float on water (such as the seat cushions) and would be seen washing up on regional shores or easily spotted by search teams
Harvard professor Cass Sunstein noted that the conflicting information initially released by the Malaysian government explains the interest in alternative theories. Sunstein, who has written on the topic in an interview with the Wall Street Journal on 20 March 2014, argued that conspiracy theories in general often are borne out of horrific and disastrous situations, because such events make people angry, fearful and looking for a "target"

Hijacking

The possibility of a simple hijacking has been brought up by various news outlets, including ABC News and the Los Angeles Times.Speculation has mounted about the possibility that hijackers took the plane to a remote island, although no group has stepped forward to confirm that it was them; however, unofficial researchers have identified more than 600 possible runways at which the plane was capable of landing. No confirmation has been received from Malaysian officials

Electronic hijacking

Electronic hijacking uses systems and programming already factory installed within the B777 flight management system. This is different from hacking or cyber-attack in that it requires access to the B777's security system through access purposefully programmed into the software. Notable proponents of this theory include former Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohamad. He said: "Clearly Boeing and certain agencies have the capacity to take over uninterruptible control of commercial airliners of which MH370 B777 is one". In this statement he was referring to off-board hijackers with access to MH370's Flight Management System via the 2003 patented Uninterruptible Autopilot.
And so the list goes on
"Spoofed" satellite data, Terrorist attack, North Korea,  Acquisition of Freescale staff, Diego Garcia, Shoot-down theory etc

Chapter 1
my heart skipped a beat just as Jake showed me a shining little stone crusted in a sliver plated ring, suddenly all air had gotten out of my lungs and I could not breathe anymore I was feeling confused and exuberant at the same time just then it all went dark as we were passing through the subway tunnel and for the next few seconds all I could think was nothing absolutely nothing at all. Just as soon as we got out of the tunnel, he with a million dollar smile asks me, "how is it?"  I swear all I could say was "uh..uh..uumm" while making weird hand gestures  God ! was i weird or what , sniggering Jake asks, " come on Jane tell me how is it will Mandy like it or not?" a nuclear blast just happened in my heart on hearing that! but as calmly as i could i told Jake that, " it's amazing she will love it!" by now the train had stopped and i had reached my destination. So I got up in a hurry as it was almost time for the doors to close saying goodnight I left  getting out I think I heard him say that he'll call me when she says yes but whatever off course that bitch was gonna say yes! well, anyways I have a big day tomorrow. As I walked through the cold autumn breeze to my apartment all I could think about was the young aspiring journalist who was about to come in the morning to write a biography about my life .. By that though in mind i took a walk down the memory lane , remembering who I was how I was where I was everything altogether off course about which I haven't thought about lately..
But sure there was a time when all I used to did was think about the past.. I stopped thinking about it because all it  did was just haunt me...

The bodies of 11 women and a fetus were found buried in Albuquerque's West Mesa in February 2009.

People Forgotten.

On February 2, 2009, a woman walking a dog found a human bone on the West Mesa of Albuquerque, New Mexico metropolitan area, and reported it to police. As a result of the subsequent police investigation, authorities discovered the remains of 11 women and a fetus buried in the area. All the women were young; most were Hispanic, and most were involved with drugs and prostitution.

The remains discovered in 2009 were identified as those of the following women, all of whom disappeared between 2001 and 2005 According to satellite photos the last victim was buried in 2005.
  • Jamie Barela, 15
  • Monica Candelaria, 22
  • Victoria Chavez, 26
  • Virginia Cloven, 24
  • Syllania Edwards, 15
  • Cinnamon Elks, 32
  • Doreen Marquez, 24
  • Julie Nieto, 24
  • Veronica Romero, 28
  • Evelyn Salazar, 27
  • Michelle Valdez, 22
Syllania Edwards, a 13 year-old runaway from Lawton, Oklahoma, was the only African American, and the only victim from out-of-state Michelle Valdez was four months pregnant at the time of her death. On December 9, 2010, Albuquerque police released six photos of seven unidentified women who may also be linked to West Mesa. Some of the women appear to be unconscious, and many share the same physical characteristics as the original 11 victim she following day the police released an additional photograph of another woman; this woman was subsequently identified by family members, who reported that she had died of natural causes several years ago On December 13, 2010, police reported that two of the women in the photos had been identified as alive, and could have valuable information if they can be located Police would not say how or where they had obtained the photos Police suspect that the bodies were all buried by the same person or persons, and may be the work of a serial killer sometimes referred to as the West Mesa Bone Collector Authorities also believe that the murders are closely linked to the annual state fair, which attracts large numbers of prostitutes to the area in the fall Two men who initially attracted police attention in connection with the murders were Fred Reynolds and Lorenzo Montoya. Reynolds was a pimp who knew one of the missing women and reportedly had photos of missing prostitutes; he died of natural causes in January 2009 n December 2006, Montoya strangled a teenager at his trailer; he was shot to death by the teen's boyfriend.
Blea is also suspected by police of killing another prostitute; his DNA sample was located on the inner waistband and belt of a prostitute found dead on Central Ave (a notorious street for prostitution in the eastern part of the city). In addition, a tree tag from a nursery was found in the area where the West Mesa victims' bodies were buried; it was tracked to a nursery Blea once frequented.
Blea, in the Mid-School rape case, was sentenced to 36 years in June 2015. This means Blea, who was 58 years old at the time of sentencing, will likely serve the rest of his life in prison.

but now..

It's been seven years since the victims of the West Mesa murders were discovered.
The bodies of 11 women and a fetus were found buried in Albuquerque's West Mesa in February 2009.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, only one detective is left on the case task force, which once had 40 members.
Police confirmed last year that two men were still on their list of possible suspects. They are keeping quiet about who might be under the microscope.
