This Woman Dumped Her Cheating Husband With a Billboard Message

Why dump your significant other in real life when you can take out a digital billboard ad to call them out on their morning commute? At least, that's what one woman from Sheffield, U.K., did.
The woman, who according to AdWeek is known as Lisa, wrote the billboard message to inform her husband that she knows he cheated. Not only that, though, but she also said, "When you get home I won't be there." The message called her husband Paul out by his first name, and she even ended it with, "Enjoy your drive to work!"
And you thought your morning commute was bad.

Studio NL’s nifty desk that doubles as a bed lets you sleep on the job

A Greek design company have created the answer to every London office worker’s prayers - a desk that has a bed inside it.
To the naked eye, the ingenious piece of furniture looks like your average nine-to-fiver’s desk, but pull down side panels and it reveals a cosy sleeping spot.
The end of the box folds out so you can lay comfortably with your head propped up - and the top of the desk still remains intact so others can continue working whilst you’re catching some shut eye below deck.

Internet Rallies Around Bullied Teen Who Shaved Her Hair After a Student Poured Glue In It

Hannah Combs, 15, was hanging out with her friends before the start of school on September 14th, when a boy in her class snuck up behind her and poured super glue on her head, soaking her hair and scalp.
"It instantly started burning," Hannah told the Killeen Daily Herald. "It felt like my head was on fire. It was horrible."
Hannah, a freshman at Harker Heights High School in Killeen, Texas, immediately went to the nurse's office . The assistant principal questioned her about the incident, but Hannah could barely speak through the pain. Meanwhile, the boy who attacked her was not spoken to by school officials or taken into custody until Hannah's father Christian Grimmer, a retired soldier, threatened to call 911.
Later that day, a doctor diagnosed Hannah with first-degree burns on her scalp. The hair on the right side of her head was matted and ruined, so she decided to shave it off.

"I realized I lost my favorite thing about me. I loved my hair," she said. "My hair was the only thing I liked about myself, honestly. I lost it for no reason."
The next day, she returned to school even though she was still in pain. During first period, she became anxious when she realized she'd have to encounter the bully who had poured the glue on her head during the second period class they shared, so she left school for the day. She later learned that he was given an in-school suspension for what he did, but she's run into him on campus since the incident, since they have mutual friends.
Hannah's parents have made multiple requests to Killeen Independent School District Superintendent John Craft for the boy to be transferred to another school within the district, but have not heard back directly from him.
"You would think the superintendent's priority would be school safety, but it is not any of his concern because he will not return any calls," Christian said.
However, the school district issued a statement explaining that they are committed to the safety of their students and have responded to the incident in accordance to state law, board policy, and code of conduct.
Although the school district's response to Hannah's traumatic experience have been underwhelming, the Internet has embraced her with open arms. Her mother Jessica wrote a Facebook post detailing the incident that changed her daughter's expectations for freshman year "dramatically." It struck a chord with basically everyone who has a heart, and soared to 12,000 likes and 90,000 shares in under a week. She also created a Facebook page titled "Justice for Hannah" to rally support.
Supportive comments have poured in from across the globe. Hannah's situation even caught the attention of a local hairstylist at The Salon in Harker Heights, who offered to cut and style her hair into a beautiful asymmetrical look for free.
No one should have to go through what Hannah did, but regardless of how long or short her hair is, she's a gorgeous girl with a loving family, the support of the Internet, and — most importantly, the strength to stand up for herself.

This Innocent Girl Was Tortured For 10 Hours Straight…And You Might Agree With It

#1 A woman in the UK was recently treated to unspeakable horrors and torture of the worst kind. Her name is Jacqueline and shockingly, this is what she wanted.

#2 You see, Jacqueline was making a point. She was passionate about companies using horrible animal testing methods and she knew she had to make a statement.

#3 For 10 hours, she wore a flesh-coloured body suit only and was put on display in the shop window in London to show what animals go through.

#4 Her eyes burned with chemicals – the same type of cosmetics testing that would be done on animals.

5 Moments later, she was force-fed food and drink.

#6 One of the most difficult moments was when her head was gripped and electronic clippers shaved a large strip from her hairline – a common practice in laboratories when monitors or electrodes need to be attached to an animal’s skin.

#7 Creams and lotions were applied to her forehead and cheeks leaving painful red sores and burns.

#8 Uncomfortable electrodes were attached to her head while she was tested.

#9 Some of the terrifying tools she had to endure but animals face this on a daily basis in labs.

#11 Although it was a performance, she never looked comfortable and suggested not all the pain was an act.

#10 Her arm bled in real life from resisting multiple injections.

#12 Jacqueline was publicly humiliated, shivering with cold and had red sores from the lotions from her cheek. But it was not in vain – passerbys saw her ordeal and signed a petition against animal testing. This protest of animal testing was meant to spa

300 topless women are fighting 'oppressive' religion

Religion is one of the biggest forces oppressing women all over the world and we must fight it, Femen leader Inna Shevchenko, in an interview with Telegraph Wonder Women

Speaking a few days after two of the feminist protest groups topless activists stormed the stage at a controversial conference near Paris, Shevchenko said: “As a feminist movement, one of the biggest remaining oppressors of women all over the world is religion and religious institutions.
“You only have to look at Spain where Catholics have successfully campaigned the government to restrict abortion rights and the same is true of Islam and some of its preachers – who use the language of women’s rights to oppress women.
“These men tell women ‘it’s their right’ to cover up. This is how religious leaders manipulate society and women.”

Over the weekend two Femen protesters were arrested after baring their breasts and protesting against religious preachers speaking at a conference about the role of Muslim women.
According to Shevchenko two fundamentalist preachers were discussing violence against women when the activists, aged 25 and 31, ripped off their Arab-style cloaks and jumped on to the stage on Saturday evening. One had the slogan “No one subjugates me” inked across her torso. The other bore the words “I am my own prophet”.
The protesters, aged 25 and 31, grabbed microphones and shouted feminist slogans in French and Arabic before being roughly bundled off the stage by about 15 men and handed over to police. Video footage of the incident shows a man apparently kicking one of the women.

One of the women has since been seen a doctor for her bruising as she was shoved off the stage so hard Shevchenko said - but is “doing ok”.
She said that the group, which now has 10 branches around the world, was first alerted to the conference after seeing people were protesting about it on Facebook.
“One of Femen’s missions is to shine a light on things which oppress people and the mainstream media are ignoring. We saw this event was happening and that people were campaigning online for it not to go ahead due to the views of some of the Imams about what a woman’s role should be. And so we decided to go and draw attention to it.”
Shopping and cooking were showcased at the event as appropriate “feminine activities” for Muslim women. One speaker at the conference has reportedly posted calls on social networks for women to veil their faces or risk hellfire and sexual assault in the afterlife.
Thousands of people signed an online petition against the event.
Since Femen’s protest, Twitter posts have called for the activists to be stoned or collectively raped.
Shevchenko, who is based in Paris, also said she had personally received online abuse and “people had been mocking up fake photos of her giving the Nazi salute” since the event.
“We have had hundreds of thankful messages too in France too. But our message and protest has also been used by France’s extreme right as a justification for Islamophobia – which we don’t agree with. It’s ironic as we have demonstrated against those people too.”

Femen has branches in France, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Ukraine (where it was founded and from where Shevchenko hails), Germany, Mexico, Israel and Turkey.
A UK arm had been due to open in 2013 but Shevchenko said it hadn’t happened yet due to “visa and other technical issues”.
“We still want to bring Femen to the UK and we know there are women who want to join us [in Britain] but I just haven’t been able to set it up yet or sort out the training needed to get it off the ground.”
The protest group is now in its seventh year and for the last five it has used topless protests as its main activism statement – in a bid to reclaim the female body, restyling it as a political poster and bare it to those who oppress others.
However, Shevchenko, who is 25 and works as a freelance writer in her spare time to support herself, explained that Femen has recently cut back on the number of topless protests in order to do “fewer events which have a greater impact”.
“We have around 300 women who are trained as topless activists around the world and behind them we have many other members, men and women, working on organising protests, filming our events and dealing with our legal issues.”
One of the leaders of the movement, she has personally cut back the topless protests she does because she is recognisable and can’t go into locations undercover anymore.
Femen’s three main targets are opposing dictatorships, the sex industry and religious institutions.
The group has been accused of Islamophobia in the past, something Shevchenko strongly refuted:
“We oppose all religious institutions that try to come into public life and seize political power, not just Islam. For instance our Israel branch has protested against religious Jewish men who refuse to sit with women on planes.
“But Islam at the moment, I would say, is the most ambitious religion – it is like a teenager screaming out. We see how Islam is entering public debate more and more – while restricting women’s rights.”

Answering those who criticised the group for patronising Muslim women with their latest protest, she was at pains to stress that both protestors (who haven’t been named) were from Muslim backgrounds – coming from Tunisian and Algerian families. But she also defended anyone’s “right to be offended”.
“We aren’t politicians. We are activists. It’s not our job to make the changes needed to stop the system discriminating against women and other groups. It’s our job to draw attention to it.”
Organisers of the Muslim conference have said it was “the victim of an anti-Muslim media frenzy.”
Shevchenko said she was fully committed to the “cause of Femen” even though sometimes it was “difficult to cope with the abuse, death threats, criticism” that she receives.
She was in speaking at the free speech debate in a café in Copenhagen earlier this year when a gunman opened deadly fire.
She added: “Sometimes I feel like I want to prove to people what we are doing is right, but I know if it wasn’t worth doing – we wouldn’t be getting threats and I wouldn’t be standing in a café talking about activism and hearing the sound of a Kalashnikov.”

Mumbai: In more trouble for controversial 'godwoman' Radhe Maa, the Bombay High Court has directed the city police to file a detailed affidavit on its investigation into a complaint alleging that she is running a sex racket in the name of religion.
Reports on Tuesday claimed that a bench of Justice SVM Kanade and Shalini Phansalkar-Joshi passed the order after hearing a PIL by advocate Falguni Brahmbhatt accusing Radhe Maa of obscenity and police of inaction on her complaint against the self-styled godwoman yesterday.
The Mumbai Police had earlier submitted a report, saying that an FIR has been registered against Radhe Maa and investigation is on.
Brahmbhatt, however, countered by saying that she has submitted additional information to the police but no action was taken in that.
"Sex racket is going on. Young boys and girls are lured by this lady. On the pretext of getting ashirwad, they are forced to have sex," advocate Brahmbhatt said.
She also submitted that the charitable trust run by Radhe Maa is not registered.
"Crores of rupees are collected," she alleged.
The court then directed the police to file a detailed affidavit in two weeks stating what steps it has taken.
