police are investigating after reports two girls, aged 15 and 17, were raped in Manchester city centre.
The incident happened in a car park on Brazil Street at about 16:00 BST on Saturday, police said.
The victims are receiving support from specially trained officers, said Det Insp Debbie Oakes.
Detectives have appealed for witnesses who may have seen something suspicious between 15:00 and 16:00 to come forward.
DI Oakes, of Greater Manchester Police said: "The city centre is a very busy place around this time on a Saturday.
"I know incidents like this can cause a lot of distress but I would like to assure the public that we will always take reports of this nature extremely seriously and we have launched a full investigation."

Hero ... well the simple answer is anyone can be a hero a mother is being a hero when protecting her child from the worst a brother  is a hero when he stands up for his brothers and sisters...
a friend is a hero when he/she has their friend back be it any where ...
So within us there always lies a hero .. A hero that can change us a hero that can help others and a hero  who can scarify himself
